學華語難不難

Is It Hard to Learn Mandarin?

One Step Further

🧑‍🏫V + 得 — saying HOW you do it

The complement after 得 grades the action: repeat the verb, then 得 + (adverb) + state verb — 她學華語,學得不錯 (she is learning quite well) · 他說華語,說得很好. Ask with 得怎麼樣 or A-not-A: 唱得好不好?

🧑‍🏫有一點 — “a little (too)…”

有一點 + state verb signals mild dissatisfaction: 寫字有一點難 (writing characters is a little hard) · 有一點累 · 有一點貴. Only with negative-feeling verbs — never ✗有一點好吃.

🧑‍🏫會 huì — learned skills

會 marks ability acquired through learning, before the main verb: 我會說華語 (I can speak Mandarin) · 我還會寫我的華語名字. Negate with 不: 我不會打網球. Ask: 你會不會做飯?

🧑‍🏫多少 vs 幾 — asking quantity

S + V + 多少 (+ measure) + N — the measure word can drop: 妳會寫多少字? (How many characters can you write?) · 那個學校有多少學生? 幾 (Lesson 8) prefers small counts and keeps its measure: 幾個、幾歲、幾點.

🧑‍🏫吧 and 一下 — softening the edges

吧 at the end turns a statement into a suggestion: 我們去喝杯咖啡吧! (Let’s go get coffee!) 一下 after a verb makes the action quick and casual: 休息一下 (take a quick break) · 我們聊天,聊一下.
